Maria is a 24 year old professional student at Michigan Technological University. She is currently 6 credits shy of obtaining her MBA (whoa!). She is about to embark on her first summer that will not prepare for her an upcoming basketball season, but hopefully a job. Her years as a Husky led her to finding some of her greatest friends (to add to the great ones already in her life), back to back NCAA Elite 8 appearances, and a whole lot of great memories. In her free time, which she is bound to have much more of, she enjoys: golfing, foods, adventures, spending time with the wonderful fam, the KBC and other local establishments, jukeboxes, and a good game of catch.
Holler Atta Husky began when Maria was injured and redshirted during her “super senior” or 5th year campaign. During practice she sat on the scorer’s table to keep the shot clock and listen in on White Team huddles. To these already extensive duties, one day she decided to start a “show” where she’d get on the microphone and interview her teammates before practice. It soon became a mainstay in pre-practice routines and the sign off line of “Holler atta Husky if you see one on the streets” is the method behind the madness, when faced with the task of naming her first blog.

This picture is Maria’s favorite, as the free throws that she is “hollering” about, were the winning baskets in her favorite collegiate basketball game.
